I am a stay at home mom of a delightful little girl living in B.C, Canada. I used to work with children with autism but now spend my time raising my daughter. I started this blog in hopes of helping other new or soon-to-be moms out there make the best decisions concerning their children’s health – and also to keep my brain from regressing to the same developmental level as my toddler’s.
I consider myself a “rational chemophobe”, meaning that although I am concerned about certain chemicals in our environment, I am also well aware that everything is made up of chemicals. I am not afraid of dihydrogen monoxide nor do I believe that everything labeled “natural” is safe. I earned a B.Sc from a credible university (UBC) and am fully capable of understanding scientific studies and their limitations. I firmly believe that knowledge is power and that what you don’t know CAN hurt you and your family.
Since I can’t simply put my child in a bubble (believe me, sometimes I wish I could), I have decided to arm myself with as much knowledge as possible, throw in a little common sense, and share my findings with the other equally confused parents out there.
Update: I am now following my passion and studying to become a Registered Holistic Nutritionist at CSNN.
