I am a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and mom to a delightful little girl living in B.C, Canada. I started this blog in hopes of helping other new or soon-to-be moms out there make the best decisions concerning their children’s health – and also to keep my brain from regressing to the same developmental level as my toddler’s.
I consider myself a “rational chemophobe”, meaning that although I am concerned about certain chemicals in our environment, I am also well aware that everything is made up of chemicals. I am not afraid of dihydrogen monoxide nor do I believe that everything labeled “natural” is safe. I earned a B.Sc from a credible university (UBC) and am fully capable of understanding scientific studies and their limitations. I firmly believe that knowledge is power and that what you don’t know CAN hurt you and your family.
Since I can’t simply put my child in a bubble (believe me, sometimes I wish I could), I have decided to arm myself with as much knowledge as possible, throw in a little common sense, and share my findings with the other equally confused parents out there.
If you are looking for a holistic nutritionist to guide you on your path to becoming a healthier you, feel free to email me for more information.

Thanks for the like at Self-help Health. I always appreciate when someone takes the time to do that, plus it helps lead me back to what they’re up to, like this neat blog and well-crafted About bio of yours. Nice to have your voice added to the health and well-being scene. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for the kind words!
Hi there!
I’m so glad I came across your blog. (Thanks wordpress reader!)
I can totally relate to the whole rational chemophobe thing!
How wonderful that you’re sharing your findings with others. I may not have children, but such information is very valuable regardless.
“…arm myself with as much knowledge as possible.” I love that you said that! Knowledge really is power. And you’re even going to be a Holistic Nutritionist? Go you!!
